You have to admire ESO‘s commitment to the other regions of Tamriel after the massive success the franchise had with its Skyrim installment. New cooperative world events will see players working together “to quell the magical Harrowstorms terrorizing the land.” A new “Antiquities” system will send adventurers across Tamriel on a search for artifacts that will “uncover the world’s hidden history and unlock powerful and fun rewards for all types of players.” Sounds a bit like a very long fetch quest to us, if that’s what you’re into. Players will also have to venture into Blackreach cavern - a familiar location from Skyrim - “to fight sinister monsters while unlocking the secret of the Dark Heart of Skyrim.”īethesda promises a 30-hour main quest as well as new side quests, public dungeons, and plenty to explore in Greymoor. Bethesda teases that under those mysterious vampiric rules, Skyrim has become a dark land of vampires, werewolves, and witches. The story is set 900 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and fans of the RPG should expect a very different version of the great white north than they’re used to. Greymoor is part of a year-long “interconnected adventure” called The Dark Heart of Skyrim. While the region has appeared in the MMO before, the new chapter, titled Greymoor, fully unlocks the western part of Skyrim, which is under the rule of a vampire lord that players will likely have to defeat during their quest.

I have enjoyed my small time on PC though. The Elder Scrolls Online‘s next big chapter takes players back to one of Tamriel’s most beloved regions: Skyrim. Taking my sweet time progressing though as I don’t want to rush in & burn myself out. Grabbed the Blackwood collection and jumped in. That’s what I did during the big sale in April. My recommendation assuming you have a PC, is that next time the game goes on sale just go for it. Really wish they had transfers or cross save (Destiny 2 has really spoiled me in that regard).

Even when the PS4 was released, patches were rare and didnt happen often and those that did didnt really address known bugs.

Since this is the PS3 version, there will be no more patches being released. So much progress, time, and also money sunk into this game on Xbox. Sadly the most common fix for glitches is simply to reload a previous save, preferably one before you entered Sovngarde. Your last bit was the same boat I was in. Honestly the toughest thing going to PC for this game is is making the jump itself. Everything just feels more fluid on controller. I guess for me trying to move around, block, dodge, and activate abilities is just a pain on KBM. Plus I think when you get down to the combat itself, controller is better imo. Aside from that, I find navigating the menus & map a little clunky compared to controller. Personally the only thing I like about KBM in this game is being able to go to specific menus with certain keys.

Imo it’s not much different aside from text chat being more active and you do have the option for add-ons which I haven’t dived into yet.Īs for KBM vs controller, I’d say this is one of those games I think is better with a controller, but it’s all really down to what you’re comfortable with. I just recently got the game on PC after having played it on Xbox.
